The back of the blade acts as a guard allowing the stylist to razor the hair with the scissors closed. The scissors are specially designed to hold the blades closer together. The Japanese ATS314 Cobalt steel blades are 33% sharper, smoother edge than conventional high quality beauty scissors.  Use it in both wet and dry cutting.
